Product Registration in Switzerland

LiDCO Group plc (AIM: LID), the UK-based cardiovascular monitoring company, is pleased to announce approval by the Swiss regulatory body Swissmedic for the LiDCO System lithium chloride injection. Lithium chloride is used in conjunction with the LiDCOplus Monitor to provide an absolute measure of a patient’s cardiac output. This latest registration now provides LiDCO with full marketing approval to sell into 14 European countries.

Terry O’Brien, Chief Executive of LiDCO, stated: “Switzerland is Europe’s highest per capita income country, has one of the best health care systems in the world and spends 11% of the gross national product on health care. We expect that our distribution partner Homedica will establish Switzerland as an important market for LiDCO’s products.”

About LiDCO Plc

LiDCO is a UK-based AIM-traded developer, manufacturer and leading supplier of minimally invasive, computer-based hemodynamic monitoring equipment and disposables used primarily for the management of critical care and cardiovascular risk hospital patients.
