Software Link with Picis
25-04-2006
LiDCO Group plc (AIM: LID), the cardiovascular monitoring company, is pleased to
announce that Picis, the leading provider of high-acuity care automation software for
hospitals, is to create a custom device link between LiDCO’s proprietary, stand-alone
monitoring system and the Picis CareSuite™ hospital information management
system (HIS) or any other HIS that Picis communicates to. Once completed, the
communications link will allow Picis customers access to LiDCO’s proprietary,
minimally-invasive hemodynamic monitoring data. The integration of critical care
parameters and data derived from the LiDCOplus monitor will allow a full picture of
the patient’s condition and history to be displayed and accessed throughout the
hospital.
LiDCO’s CEO, Dr. Terry O’Brien, commented: “The communications link will
further enhance the utility of the LiDCOplus system for both our existing and future
Picis customers. LiDCO will continue to explore additional non-exclusive
collaborations with the major corporations providing monitoring products to the acute
care hospital market. Our ambition is to make LiDCO’s technology the standard of
care throughout the hospital for minimally-invasive hemodynamic monitoring.”
